Privacy policy
What Forgeworld stores about you and why.
-
01
Account data
Your email address and, if you set one, a hashed password. We use them to log you in and to send login links. We never see your password.
-
02
Game profile
Your citizen name, citizenship, location, avatar image and everything you do in the game: work, trades, battles, votes, medals and invitations.
-
03
Content you post
Chat messages, articles, comments, laws you propose and reports you send. Other players can see what you post publicly.
-
04
Cookies and local storage
Session cookies keep you logged in (for 14 days if you choose to stay logged in). Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.
-
05
Bot protection
The registration and login forms, and fighting in battles, use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It runs in your browser and sends Cloudflare technical data such as your IP address and browser details; Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy. We only receive a pass or fail answer.
-
06
IP addresses
When you use the game while logged in, we record the IP addresses your account connects from and when each was last used. Admins use them only to find multiple accounts run by one person, which the rules forbid.
-
07
Who sees your data
Other players see your public profile and public posts. Moderators and admins can see reports and moderation history; only admins see IP addresses. We do not sell your data.
-
08
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can change your email, password and avatar in settings. To delete your account, contact the game administration.
